Standing next to Victoria Beckhams would make anyone look fat

Is it me or does the slender Dita Von Teese look considerably chubbier standing next to Victoria Beckham?

Dita is known for her slender frame but look at her standing next to Vicky B?

Which means that Victoria Beckham must be extremely thin if a thin person could look fat beside her.

In other news the photo was taken at a Paris fashion show, I must admit this looks like her natural habitat and like I said yesterday her public persona is not charity mission in West Africa. She is very lucky that she married a man who can fit into many scenarios easily. With him by her side I can see Brand Beckham with a long shelf life.

PS: A note to Vicky B, please ease up on the spray tan, too much of it looks tacky and we wouldn't want that now would we?

PPS: I love the Hermes Birkin Bags that Victoria Beckham carries about, she must have one in every colour. It is becoming part of her image I think. One day I too will be able to afford one :)

Vive David Beckham visiting the country of conflict diamonds

Watched David Beckham on TV tonight on his Unicef mission to Sierra Leone in West Africa, check it out here. He looked so at home carrying that child, it melted my heart towards brand Beckham and me hoping that he adopts an African child a la Mmes Richie and Jolie-Pitt. I can't see Victoria looking comfortable doing the same, it just seems out of her press character i.e. pouts, posing, et al. David just looked like a natural.

In other news - my heart goes out to the people of Sierra Leone, they need all the help they can get and I hope David Beckham's visit enlightens people on their plight and encourages people to help in making their world a better place.

Glutton for punishment/things old

I believe that I may have done myself an njustice by watching the same film twice unawares of course.

"Philadelphia Story" and "High Society" are the films in question by the way.
I didn't realise they were the same film until I watched one after the other in daily succession.

You see I watched "Philadelphia Story" yesterday, it was over the top, funny and entertaining plus Katherine Hepburn's accent was ridiculous however the casts which included Cary Grant were good. I have just started to watch High Society when I noticed the striking similarity when the interviewers arrived to interview the bride, this led me to wiki the film and it was then I realised the error.

I was tempted to stop watching High Society however the difference between it and the other film is that it is a musical and has different actors (Grace Kelly, Bing Cosby, Frank Sinatra, Louis Amstrong, etc) therefore probably a different take on the original plus I have always wanted to see it as a child but always ended only seeing a snippet or so. So I guess to get closure I need to watch the film.

PS: High Society is turning out good so far, they are singing songs I know and like e.g. "True Love" and now I know where "Who wants to be a millionaire" got that phrase/saying from.

Heath Ledger

It was a shock to hear that Heath Ledger passed away today, so young, so much talent and his role/image in the next Batman kinda looks Brandon Leesque in the Crow.

My heart goes out to Michelle Williams and Matilda at this time, I pray that God gives them the strength and resources to move on.

I wonder how Naomi Watt must feel, I know its been some years they were together but they were part of each other's life for a while and she must feel some loss though.

Rest in peace ohh Aussie one and I hope after life is a splendid place.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

I was reading about the Jane Slavin affair in Grazia today, I’m I the only one who thinks that “being dumped”or “dumping someone” is all part of life. It’s like bombing an organisation because after so many interviews they did not pick you as their employee!

Is she telling me that she executes this sort of behaviour against everyman who dumps her or is it because Nyman was famous and she saw a way of making a quick buck? Sorry to be the cynic (and God forgive me if I’m wrong) here but I find the whole thing fishy. Isn’t it amazing how this story leaks into the press, I can’t imagine Michael Nyman would want to publicise such an event? So who gains from all this hmm….I wonder?

As a fellow woman I am appalled by Jane's behaviour, if she was wrongly treated as she said then maybe she should have taken the moral high road. I am worried about her because I find her behaviour petty and bitter yet melancholic.

So now what? She peddles her blog, maybe gets a book deal (if the rumours are correct), may be makes a few quid. But does she still have the right to behave like the wounded victim in this scenario like she did in today’s Grazia? “Eem no!” She has repaid herself in kind by being a total cad like Nyman.

Diana Kruger and those shoes

Diana Kruger was stepping out of the Dior Spring Summer 2008 Show in Paris and was wearing the most amazing shoes. Sighs! I think I'm in love and if only I could get me and the shoes together and we can live happily ever after in Dior bliss.

This is going into my virtual wishlist of "things one can't afford but one desires", ahhhhhh.

Espionage

I believe everyone can perform espionage, maybe for a day, week or month but not on a day in day out basis as a career? However I also believe the duplicity e.g. being a new person for each target, the fear - vetting each new person in your life as they could be a potential enemy, etc. could potentially drive a person insane!

However when you watch the likes of Spooks and 007, they make the whole thing seem easy, exciting, enjoyable, thrilling, and so on and so forth.

I know the James Bond franchise and Spooks are fantasy however a little part of me reckons that there is some element of truth in it and they must have gathered some information from the real espionages as a story board to build the stories upon.
