My Kitchen Adventures - Almond and Pear Tart

I made this last week using the recipe from allrecipes and it turned out wonderfully. This was my first attempt at baking a tart and I was absolutely chuffed that it turned out beautifully plus it reminds me of the "Unearthed Pear and Almond Tart" which, is what I was aiming for.

It was incredibly yummy and I will definitely be trying this recipe again, cest bon!

My Kitchen Adventures - Red Velvet Cupcakes

I decided to try baking cupcakes today and used the recipe from cookingchanneltv. I think I overdid it a bit as I was making steak and chips at the same time I was doing this. You can see my attempts below:

I have to say that the topping which is made of whipped mascarpone, whipped cream, icing sugar and lemon zest is yummy :)

PS: It's a shame that the red colouring in the cupcake batter is not very visible in the finished product.
